Fortnite fans eagerly awaited the arrival of Chapter 5: Season 2, a Season that the rumors say is going to be fueled by Greek mythology. On the contrary, their aspirations were severely defeated again due to a maintenance window that was longer than usual.

With the company Epic Games responsible for Fortnite an offline downtime at around 3 AM ET for 3-4 hours is observed for major updates to the system to be installed. Here, in contrast with common when gamers leave the game during the evening on a Friday, people were blocked in the verdict game on Friday evening. The lengthy downtime of the game added to many gamers’ frustration especially when the upcoming theme of the new season turned out to be very popular as well.

It seemed that somewhere after 9 PM ET there was finally some brightening out of cloudy or dark thoughts as some reports suggested that players were finally able to download updates and log in to the game. Yet the health of some warriors wasn’t back to normal either. Sources were reported for attempting to log in to the website and then got an error message that left them frustrated.

The official Fortnite Status Twitter account gave feedback and shared information related to resolving the problems. They affirmed that the developers were constantly looking into problems associated with islands, starter packs, and matchmaking. However, unlike the cold response: “Everything is up and running as we planned following the update v29.00 during the scheduled downtime.” received from the Epic Games status page, all is seemingly fine.

Several of them seem to have borne prices while others are still facing some few but insignificant problems. Hopefully, Epic Games will swiftly resolve these remaining issues, allowing all players to dive into the mythical battles of Fortnite’s Chapter 5: At this point, it should be the second season.
